Factors leading to slow population growth:
1.Warfare: whenever civil wars take place in a country , many people are killed particularly women and children.
2.Epidemics:whenever epidemics and diseases strike an area, the rate of child death is high.
3.Famine: large parts of Kenya regularly experience food shortage due to prolonged drought.
4.Family planning programmes: many families of Kenya have adopted the practice of having fewer children such as one or two.
5.Late marriages: some people get late in marrying
as they take many years studying until they complete college and start working.
6.Emigration: this is the movement of people particularly the youth away from their country to settle elsewhere, may affect the population negatively.
