It is headed by the Prime Minister.Functions of the Cabinet-It formulates policy for the federal government-Recommends major appointments made by the President in various sectors of the government.-Advises the President and Prime Minister on various matters of the government.-Co-ordinates various programmes of the department in various ministries. -Explains and implements government policies. -Settles inter-departmental disputes to promote harmonious working relations.
