The House of Lords.
Membership to The House of Lords is based on nomination by the monarch or by hereditary principle. One can become a member of the House of Lords in the following ways;
1. Through nomination by the monarch.
2. When one holds hereditary parentage position.
3. Through holding some senior position in the society e.g. within the Church of England - Archbishop of Canterbury. Members of the House of Lords only receive sitting allowances.
