Answer Text:
Election of Prime Minister in India.
The leader of the party with the majority of seats in parliament becomes the Prime Minister. If the party leader declines, she or he may appoint any leading member of the winning party to form government.
This is done with consultation of other party members.
The Prime Minister-elect swears and takes the oath of office in the Presidential Palace.
After the oath, the Prime Minister appoints a cabinet from the party or parties that form government.
