The cost of discipleship (Luke. 14:25-35)
Answer Text: - Jesus emphasized that entering the kingdom of God demanded a committed discipleship. To be a disciple of Jesus one has to: -Detach from his family and property. These can prevent people from becoming Jesus’ disciples. -Carry their own cross and follow Jesus. That means self-denial and readiness to suffer.-Think carefully and plan just like one plans for when building a house. A true discipleship was a carefully thought-out commitment.-Maintain their zeal for following Jesus. They were to be the salt of the world to bring flavor and taste to others.-A true follower gives up everything.
