Answer Text: A GREAT FEAST FOR ALL WHO ARE PREPAREDJesus continued to preach the kingdom of God using images of feast, invited guests and attitude of those invited. Jesus heals a sick man-Luke 14:1-6 One Sabbath Jesus was invited by one of the Pharisees to his house for a meal. The Pharisees were closely watching Jesus to see what he was to do. While in the house, a man with swollen limbs came to Jesus for healing. This could be arranged by Pharisees to trap Jesus. On seeing the man, Jesus asked the Pharisees and teachers of the law “does our law allow healing on a Sabbath?”. They did not respond to this question because if they said no, they were not concerned of human suffering and if they said yes, it meant they were observing the law strictly. Jesus reminded them that if one’s son or ox fell on a well on a Sabbath, they would pull the son or the animal out. So he went ahead and healed the man.
