Answer Text: Traditional African understanding of Marriage.-Traditional African understanding of marriage is commonly referred to as customary marriage.- Marriage in traditional African community is a complex affair and involves the economic, social, and religious aspects of thepeople.- It is understood as a rhythm of life through which everyone must participate. -Marriage is a duty and requirement for everyone in the community to undergo. -People who do not marry are considered a curse to the community, rebels and law-breakers, abnormal and “lesser humans”. -Failure to get married under normal circumstances means that the person concerned has rejected society and society rejects him or her in return. -The young boys and girls are prepared for this sacred duty during their initiation. -They are taught everything pertaining to the meaning and use of sex in marriage and how to raise up a family.
