Answer Text: Khat/Miraa-Miraa is a wild-growing shrub and its stalks and leaves are chewed to induce excitement.-Chewing it is also a form of drug abuse.-It is consumed in both rural and urban areas.-The juice in the miraa, when ingested, causes temporary excitement in the user.-This drug is dangerous because it makes one to lose appetite for food, interferes with the digestion and also causes sleeplessness.-The user can also become very irritable.-Miraa chewing therefore has negative effects socially and economically on the consumer.
