Answer Text:
Active Leisure
This is a situation where the whole body is involved in an activity. For example, in playing games like netball, football and basketball; or participating in athletics, boat-rowing and cycling etc.
Active leisure enables a person to:
(i) Exercise God-given talents.
(ii) Strengthen relationships.
(iii) Discover new places and other ways of doing things. It also makes you appreciate other peoples’ cultures when you travel.
(iv) Develop his or her hobby.
(v) Build stamina if involved in sporting activities.
(vi) Participate in his or her favourate activity.
(vii) Socialize with others sharing common interests.
-Some active leisure activities especially in sports like boxing, motor racing, wrestling and mountain climbing may be dangerous to one’s physical health.
-Some people have been severely injured or have died while engaging in these activities.
