Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem
Answer Text: Jesus approached Jerusalem passing through Bethphage, Bethany and the Mount of Olives. He sent two of his disciples to get him a colt and gave them two instructions that it should never have been ridden. The colt will be tied and if the owner asked, to say the master is in need of it.The disciples obeyed what they had been told by Jesus and they brought the young donkey to him. They set Jesus upon it and as Jesus rode the donkey, they spread their garments on roads. This multitude had witnessed Jesus mighty works, hence they neared Mt Olives, they began to rejoice and praising God with loud voice saying, “blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord, peace in heaven and glory in highest”.The Pharisees in the multitude told Jesus to rebuke his disciples and answered that they were silent, then stones would cry out.The Pharisees were afraid that this outburst by the crowd would be regarded by the Romans as act of sedition.
