Answer Text:
Justice/fairness as a Christian value that enhances a just society:
Justice is the moral principle of being fair. When exercising justice, we act according to set rules and standards. Justice and fairness are observed in situations in which people are treated equally and without discrimination. God
expects His people to practice justice and to be faithful to His covenant. Prophets like Amos, Jeremiah and Isaiah condemned the Israelites for the injustices they caused and prophesied God’s punishment on them (Isaiah 5:23-25; Jeremiah 7:1-8:1-3; Amos 5:7, 12. In the New Testament, Jesus came as a Messiah who would bring
freedom and justice to the oppressed. Christians are expected to show justice or fair dealing to all people. They can promote justice by carrying out their duties honestly, faithfully and with dedication. They should not show discrimination against others because all human beings were created in God’s image.
