a) Permanent Rivers/ Perennial Rivers
- Which flow throughout the year
- Shown by continuous blue lines
Likely indication of:
- Heavy rainfall
- Impermeable rocks

b) Seasonal Rivers / Intermittent Rivers
- Which flow seasonally or during the rain season
- Shown by broken blue lines
Likely indication of:
- Low rainfall
- River doesn’t have a rich catchment area

c) Disappearing Rivers
-Blue lines ending abruptly
Likely indication of:
- Permeable rocks
- Very low rainfall
- Underground drainage
