Answer Text: The last supperWhen the time came for Jesus and his disciples to eat the Passover meal, they went into the upper room. Jesus took the seat at the table. He took a cup of wine, gave thanks, and passed it round to the disciples for them to drink saying, ‘Take this and divide it among yourselves, for I tell you from now on I shall not drink of the Fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God comes.” Again he took the bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave to them to eat saying, “This is my body which is given to you. Do this in remembrance of me.” After supper, he took the cup again saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood”. This implied that the disciples were to continue celebrating the Lord’s Supper. During the Last Supper, Jesus foretold of his betrayal by saying, “but beyond the hand of him who will betray me is with me on the table.
