Answer Text:
The effects of homosexuality:
-There is no fulfilment of sexual intercourse as this is only possible with members of the opposite sex.
-It cannot lead to the birth of children which is one of the primary purposes of marriage .Children are necessary for survival of the human race (Genesis 1:28)
-It cannot lead to the establishment of a normal family relationship.
-It is an unnatural act. This is why Saint Paul condemns homosexual practice as the exchange of “natural” relations between men and women for relations that are “contrary to nature” (Romans 1:26-27a). Homosexuality is against
God’s intention for human sexuality when He created both male and female in His own image.
-It can lead to contracting of STIs and HIV. It is believed that the homosexuals were the first people to be infected with HIV.
-Homosexuality is a taboo in all African communities.
-It may lead to psychological problems such as stress, depression and suicide. This is because homosexuals in some parts of Africa fear to come out openly and also experience stigma and discrimination.
