Answer Text:
- A rain gauge consists of a funnel, metallic cylindrical container and a collecting jar.
-take the rain gauge to an open space to prevent water from dropping in to the funnel, then sink it to the ground to prevent evaporation and leave the funnel 30cm above the ground to prevent splashes and run off water from spilling in.
- When it rains, water from direct rain drops collects into the jar through the funnel
- The water collected is then poured into a graduated (in mm) measuring cylinder.
- The readings taken & recorded.
ii) - Thermometers ;six thermometers, maximum and minimum thermometer .
- Hygrometer.
