Some towns grew as centres of administration e.g. Nairobi and Machakos. Others grew as railway terminus e.g. Kisumu.c) African welfare was boosted. Some African benefited from western education and health facilities introduced by the Europeans.d) European languages were introduced in Africa.e) Negatively, it created landlessness as European settlers appropriated African land.
