Jesus' true family
Jesus’ mother and his brothers came to look for him but they could not reach him because of the crowd. When he was told that they desired to see him, he told them that his mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.
-Here Jesus did not mean to reject his people but he wanted the people to understand the Divine nature of his work.
-He wanted to show that who heeded his teaching were therefore closer to him than human relations.
-Those who follow him are members of the kingdom of God.
-Therefore, in Christianity, if one gives him or herself to Christ, one becomes a member of his family.
