The parable of a lamp:Jesus used another parable to illustrate the work of the disciples.Jesus taught that no one can light a lamp and cover it with a bowl or hide it under a bed. Instead they put it on the stand to provide enough light in the room.-In this parable Jesus is the light and the disciples are those on whom the light shines.-They therefore have a duty to pass on what they had learnt from Jesus to other people and not to keep it for themselves.-He advised the disciples to listen to him carefully and hear correctly. -A Christian has a duty to share the knowledge of God with others.-One cannot claim to be a Christian if this knowledge is kept and not shared.
