The healing of the centurion’s servant. Jesus entered Capernaum and there was a centurion whose slave was sick to a point of death, when the centurion heard of Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to go and request Jesus to come and heal his slave.
When the elders reached to Jesus, they told him that he was worthy for Jesus to heal his servant for the centurion loved his nation.
Jesus went with the elders but before they reached the centurion’s house, the centurion sent his friends to go to tell Jesus that he was not worthy to have Jesus in his house but to say a word for his sick servant. When Jesus heard this, he marveled at centurion’s faith and said even in Israel he had never seen such faith.
Those who had been sent returned to the house and found the slave well.
