Pelagic Fishing
- Catching of fish which live close to the surface e.g. mackerel, menhaden, herring, sardines and tuna.
-The type of fish caught using this method are called pelagic fish and are small in size.
-They are found in shoals and are migratory in character and therefore pelagic fishing is a seasonal activity.
-The best method to catch pelagic fish is drifting and seining.
