Strength of an Alkali
- Alkalis can be grouped as either strong or weak alkalis.
Strong alkalis
- Are alkalis that undergo complete dissociation in aqueous solution; yielding a large number of hydroxyl
(#OH^(-)#) ions
Examples:
- Sodium hydroxide.
- Potassium hydroxide.
