Answer Text:
Jesus also said to his disciples, “There was a rich man who had a steward.
His master was informed that he was wasting his wealth.
The master called him to give an account of his master’s possession for he was to be sacked.
The manager (steward) thought of what he could do, for he was not strong enough to dig and he was ashamed to beg.
He thought very quickly of what he could do so that the people may receive him in their houses when he is finally sacked.
He decided to make friends with debtors of his master.
He summoned his master’s debtors one by one. He said to the first, “How much do you owe my master?” He said, “A hundred barrels of oil.” He told him to change to fifty. Then he asked another ,how much do you owe my master?.
The debtor answered, “A thousand sacks of wheat”,he told him to change to 800.
The master commended the steward for his shrewdness. Jesus calls on his followers to also make critical decisions. Jesus went on and told his disciples to make friends for themselves.
