The pressure of the air inside a car tyre increases if the car stands for some time on a hot day. Explain the pressure increase in terms of the kinetic theory of gases.

The hot temperature heat up the air inside the tyre and the molecules gain more kinetic energy and move faster, since the volume is constant, this increases the rate of collision, hence increased pressure.
