Disadvantages of bonded warehouse to the government.
-Lack of full control of the public warehouses which are privately owned and managed.
-Illegal goods can enter the country through bonded warehouses which are under private ownership.
-Misinterpretation or misunderstanding by owners of bonded warehouses of government requirements on imports may cause serious effects on trade in the country.
-Maintaining employees of customs and excise departments which controls the bonded warehouses is expensive.
-when there is unclaimed goods in-bond, losses are incurred in government owned bonded warehouses.
-When the customs officials are not committed to their duty, substantial imports may enter into the country without payment of customs duty
