-Division of labour refers to the process of dividing a production process into separate stages, with each stage assigned to an employee or group of employees.
-Specialisation refers to a process where an employee
concetrates on performing specific task which he or she is best suited according to qualification, skills and experiences.
Advantages of division of labour and specialization.
-The output per worker is greatly improved.
-Leads to development of talents as workers engage in trades where they are best at
-Encourages inventions and innovations since workers do the same task repeatedly
-Greater use of machines which leads to faster production and quality goods.
-It saves time as movements from one place to another is minimized
