Answer Text:
- Wrong drying agent is used. Chlorine reacts with calcium oxide.
- Wrong method is used to collect chlorine. Chlorine is denser than air hence cannot be collected by upward delivery.
- Wrong reagents were used. Concentrated sulphuric (VI) acid does not produce chlorine with sodium chloride.
