- Employment: It has led to an increase in employment opportunities through promotion of free movement of labour.
- Technological advancement: Through joint ventures, it has promoted the development and transfer of technology among member states.
- Industrial and agricultural growth: The creation of a common market has led to the expansion of markets for goods from member states.
