- Are also called electrochemical cells. Are cells in which electrical energy is generated from chemical reactions.
Types of electrochemical cells
(i). Primary cells -Electrochemical cells which are not rechargeable
(ii). secondary cells- Voltaic/electrochemical cells which are rechargeable.
