By the end of the lesson the learner should be able to:
a) Define compound sentences
b) Give examples of compound sentences.
A compound sentence is a sentence made up of two or more independent clauses. Compound sentences are joined by co-ordinating conjunctions (and, but or etc.)
Examples: a) They studied hard. b) They passed their exams
